Meta Launches AI Fashion and Pet Apps

Meta has quietly launched two AI applications: Style Sketch, a fashion coordination app, and Waddle World, an AI pet journal app. Style Sketch helps users create outfit ideas using clothes they already own and connects to Instagram to build a virtual closet from photos users have posted. Users can manually upload images of their clothing, and the app suggests outfit combinations based on their style, allowing for virtual try-ons that match their body shape and skin tone. Currently, the app is available on iOS and Android in Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand. On the other hand, Waddle World is a pet-themed journal app where users can interact with virtual pets and document their daily lives. This app is currently only available to adult users in the Philippines. These new applications from Meta highlight its continuous innovation in the AI field, particularly in integrating social media and user interaction. It remains to be seen whether Meta will expand these applications to other markets.
