Zynga Partners with Blue Cross for FarmVille 2 Charity Event

Zynga has announced a partnership with the UK pet charity Blue Cross to launch a new in-game event in FarmVille 2: Country Escape. The event, titled "Pet Pals," runs from October 14 to November 10, 2026, coinciding with Guinea Pig Awareness Week (October 26–30). During this event, players are tasked with caring for virtual guinea pigs by unlocking and feeding them tasty nibbles, which can be earned through various farm activities such as crafting and foraging. Each nibble fed to the guinea pigs contributes to a collective progress bar aimed at reaching a real-world donation goal. If the community meets this goal, Zynga will make a donation to Blue Cross, which will be used to fund pet welfare initiatives, including veterinary care, rehoming, and pet food banks. Ratheesh Mallaya, the general manager of FarmVille 2: Country Escape, emphasized that the game has always been about community, compassion, and a love for animals. He stated, "Farmers aren't afraid of rolling up their sleeves for a worthy cause, and this event proves once again that we're always stronger together." Mary Haisman, head of corporate partnerships at Blue Cross, expressed delight in teaming up with Zynga, hoping that gamers enjoy the experience while contributing to the welfare of real-life small pets in need.
